Anyone who has ever cooked with turmeric will have noticed that it is very colourful. But who has the idea that it is also very good for whitening teeth? That you get really white teeth and yellow teeth are a thing of the past.
It is not clear why it works so well, but many people swear by turmeric for white teeth and to fight caries.
It is also used to treat toothache, gum infections and sensitive teeth.
For tooth whitening turmeric is mixed with baking powder and coconut oil. Baking powder removes stains and plaque from your teeth by removing acids formed by the bacteria in your mouth and is particularly suitable for whitening teeth.
Coconut oil is another natural wonder (comparable to Listerine) which can pull bacteria out of the mouth and treat toothache, bad breath, tooth sensitivity and gum diseases but can also whiten teeth.
It is also called oil pulling because rinsing your mouth with coconut oil extracts germs, but it also helps to bleach your teeth and whiten your teeth.
Put 4 tablespoons of dried turmeric root powder in a bowl. Add 2 teaspoons of baking powder. - Add 3 tablespoons of coconut oil. - Mix well with a spoon or fork.
Apply 2 teaspoons of turmeric tooth whitener to your toothbrush and brush your teeth for 2 minutes. Pour 1 teaspoon of melted coconut oil into the mouth for another minute and then spit it out (like a Listerine mouthwash).
Rinse your mouth with water. - Do this 2-3 times a week to whiten your teeth and fight caries.
Note: If you want to use it to whiten teeth, remember that this mixture can cause discoloration and quickly stain clothing. The toothbrush will also turn yellow-orange.Deutschwhiten teeth
