The spirit realm has been closed to us to protect us. We should be very thankful when we don’t see into it because of the demons that would frighten and deceive us. However, as we progress further into the chaos of these end times, we are going to have an “open heaven” even as Jesus promised to Nathanial in John 1 when he said, “Hereafter you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.” To see into the spirit realm is not only to see angels, as Jesus promised Nathanial, but also to see the other spirits in that realm that are demons. Jesus said when he saw Nathanial, “Behold, an Israelite in whom is no guile.” The word “guile” means “deceit.” In other words, Jesus’ message here was saying when we are without deceit, meaning when we have come into spiritual perfection, we will be able to see into the spirit realm even as Jesus did.
